This alloy has excellent mechanical properties at temperature extremes. Magnetic Susceptibility Low magnetic susceptibility makes Nitronic 50 an excellent choice for those parts where distortion in magnetic fields must be minimized. Corrosion Resistance The alloy maintains good corrosion resistance under the most severe conditions up to 1200°F (649°C). Moreover, ASTM A336 Nitronic 50 Alloy provides enhanced resistance to corrosion and is designed for use in industries like Oil & Gas, Marine, Nuclear, Pulp and Paper, Textile, and Food Processing.
Nitronic 60 Plate is a highly resistant alloy, developed primarily for high-temperature use, possessing adequate properties up to about 1800°F (982°C). Generally speaking, the oxidation service of Nitronic 60 Plate is excellent and comparable to—or at times even better than—the nickel-base alloys—far superior to Type 309 SS or even superior to Type 304 SS. Nitronic 60 Checkered Plate offers better wear resistance than 304 stainless steel and has higher chloride pitting resistance than 316 stainless steel.
