The alloy has many properties quite close to those of Nickel 200; however, since the carbon content is lower in the Nickel 201 Round Bar alloy, it resists embrittlement due to inter-granular carbon at a high temperature. These components are resistant to several chemicals, including acids and alkalis, due to the higher nickel content in the alloy, and hence resistant to dry gases at ambient temperature.
