The Inconel 718 pipes find usage in an enormous array of functions. They can be used to carry water or various chemicals and transport oil or natural gas. Inconel 718 Oval Tubes are also frequently used for structural supports and piping systems of large ships, military vessels, aircraft carriers, submarines, tanks, and other military vehicles. Moreover, the pipes and tubes can be produced to withstand high and low temperatures: from cryogenic up to 1000°F. This makes them applied best in applications that involve frequent fluctuations in temperature or where materials other than these cannot stand hot or cold temperatures.
The Inconel 718 Tubes can be categorized into two basic types: seamless and welded tubes. Seamless pipes are made of drawing hot-rolled steel bars through a die. The welded pipes are made by feeding a metal strip through rollers and forming cylindrical shapes, which are then welded together through its seam. Although both provide excellent strength and corrosion resistance, seamless pipes are more reliable since they do not have weak points across the joints like welded pipes.
Inconel 718 is a nickel-chromium alloy effective at high temperatures. Pipes fabricated in obtained material are termed Inconel 718 pipes, possessing features like high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and good weldability.
